The Revitalization of Calistoga
Calistoga Vitality Group (CVG) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to advancing the economic, social and cultural vitality of Calistoga. We believe that implementing the ten long-term strategic initiatives, identified by the City-appointed Economic Vitality Group in 2006, is a coherent and balanced approach to securing a vital future for Calistoga. We work for the implementation of these initiatives by forming a strong working partnership with the City of Calistoga, by building coalitions of residents, businesses, and non-profits, and by procuring funding sources. We also provide information regarding opportunities within the initiatives to the public, the city, investors, and other stakeholders. CVG is supported by grants from private foundations and by contributions from sponsors and local residents.
Our Guiding Principles
Preserving our city’s identity as a unique and historic small town, protecting the environment, promoting economic vitality, and supporting cultural activities are the guiding principles in our actions to advance the vitality of Calistoga. We believe the vitalization of our town is achieved when people are attracted to Calistoga as their home base, their work place, and as a great place to visit.
